You can balance your own chakras, or you can work on someone else to balance their chakras. There are many ways to balance chakras and I encourage you to research different methods.
One way to balance your chakras or those of another person is to lie down in a quite peaceful place and close your eyes. Clear your mind and relax.
Place your hands on your Root Chakra and visualize the color red. This may take some practice, but if you concentrate, you will eventually see the color red with your eyes closed. Continue to hold your hands above the Root Chakra and visualize the color red until you feel the Root Chakra is balanced.
Move on to the Sacral Chakra and visualize the color orange until you feel the Sacral Chakra is balanced.
Place your hands on the Solar Plexus Chakra and visualize the color yellow until you feel the Solar Plexus Chakra is balanced.
Place your hands on the Heart Chakra and visualize the color green until you feel the Heart Chakra is balanced.
Move up to the Throat Chakra and visualize a beautiful color of sky blue until you Throat Chakra is balanced.
Place your finger tip on your Third Eye Chakra and visualize the color indigo blue until you feel the Third Eye Chakra is balanced.
Move your hands to the top of your head on your Crown Chakra and visualize the color purple until you feel that it is balanced.
Then place your hands flat along your sides and visualize pure white light enveloping your entire body. Relax and enjoy this feeling of peace and warmth.
You should feel refreshed and energized when you are done. This make take some practice to actually see each color, but once you get the hang of it, it will be much faster to see the colors in your minds eye and then you can balance each chakra for yourself or others.
There are physical exercises that can also help balance the chakras and help the energy flow smoothly through your body. Here are a few very simple exercises that are beneficial.
For the Root Chakra, lie on your back and hug your knees to your chest. Hold this position for several minutes.
For the Sacral Chakra, lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Lift your pelvis up and hold it for a count of 10 then relax back onto the floor. Repeat this several times.
For the Solar Plexus Chakra, lie on your stomach on the floor. Push your body up like you are doing a push-up and hold that position with your body rigid for a count of 10 or longer.
For the Heart Chakra, lie on your stomach on the floor. With your legs straight and your toes pointed, lift your upper body and rest with your forearms flat against the floor. Hold this position for a count of 10 or longer.
For the Throat Chakra, sit in a comfortable position with your back straight and use your left hand to stretch your neck and head to the left side. Hold this for a count of 10. Then use your right hand to stretch your neck and head to the right side for a count of 10.
For the Third Eye Chakra, sit in a comfortable position with your back straight and close your eyes. Bring your hands in a prayer position up to your forehead, touching your Third Eye Chakra and chant the sound of om out loud.
For the Crown Chakra, sit in a comfortable position with your back straight and your arms relaxed out to the sides. Raise your arms up while inhaling until they touch above your head then exhale as you lower your arms back to your sides.
